The new play by Vogue Giovanna Giambri is a dark comedy about mommy issues infused with live jazz and performances by Tei Shi and Antongiulio Foti.

STARRING: Viviana Valeria, Tim Allan, Ben Michael Brown, & Ana Sophia Colón

MUSICIANS: Tei Shi (solo), Antongiulio Foti (piano), Christopher Latona (drums), & Phillip Ambuel (double bass)

The fever-dream full length play spirals into the emotional and psychological unknown – a painful, comical, raw therapeutic endeavor that’s necessary for Jaz – something she must go through to heal and confront her demons.

Written & Directed by Vogue Giovanna Giambri. Presented by Bebop Productions and Produced by Brook Sinkinson Withrow & Dunya Korobova.

Held at Studio 17 in historic Flatiron, the private theater is reopening under the management of multi-hyphenate talents Shareen Mitchell and Ruby McCollister.

About the Talent:

Vogue Giovanna Giambri is a writer, director, and jazz baroness. She has directed 19 short films in the past three years, in addition to producing theatrical works and music videos. She is also the founder of Bebop Productions.

Viviana Valeria:
Theater credits include Between Riverside and Crazy (Second Stage Theater), Halfway Bitches Go Straight to Heaven (Atlantic Theater Company), lolita, lolita (59E59), Día y Noche (59E59), and The Motherf**ker With The Hat (T. Schreiber Studio). She is a member of the LAByrinth Theater Company. Up next: House of Blue Robes, a new play by Seth Zvi Rosenfeld for LAByrinth’s Stripped Series.

Tim Allan:
Theater credits include That Paradise Place (Abrons), Comte des Cierges (The Kitchen). Film credits include I Saw the TV Glow (A24) and My First Film (MUBI).

Ben Michael Brown:
Film credits include Bellyache, The Little Death, Secret Honor, and High Falls, among others. Theater credits include Heavenly Bodies (Player’s Theatre). TV credits include East New York, and FBI Most Wanted (CBS).

Ana Sophia Colón:
Theater credits include La Paloma Prisoner (Chelsea Factory). She has performed with numerous theater companies, including LAByrinth Theater Company, The Atlantic, INTAR, El Repertorio Español, and more.

Tei Shi:
Tei Shi, born Valerie Teicher Barbosa, is a renowned Colombian-Canadian artist with over 18 million streams on Spotify. She is a singer, songwriter, and record producer known for her captivating performances.
