Chris Ruggiero with Antongiulio Foti at The Triad

  • The Triad Theater 158 West 72nd Street New York, NY, 10023 United States (map)

Chris Ruggiero has been touring the country at a dizzying pace, taking his audiences on a musical journey through the golden age of rock and roll.

His PBS-TV appearances, feature on Good Morning America and hit albums have brought an even bigger audience, filling theaters large and small all over the country on his recent tour. But on June 1st, Chris will return to New York City for an afternoon of his favorite songs from his first four albums as well as some classics selected just for this show.

Accompanied by Mark Baron on piano, Chris will deliver an intimate performance with a couple of friends in this cozy venue.

Chris tells his incredible story by breathing new life into the timeless music of the 50s, 60s & 70s in his own inimitable way. “I like to call it ‘the Great American Pop-Rock Songbook,’” Chris says. “These songs are timeless and just like the Gershwin and Cole Porter songs from the decades before, the music of Brian Wilson, Burt Bacharach and Stevie Wonder still holds up today.”

If you remember songs like "This Magic Moment,” “Up On the Roof” and “Unchained Melody,” you’ll relish an afternoon spent with Chris. His unique interpretations of those and more are not only vocal triumphs, they feature orchestrations by innovative arrangers such as Charlie Calello (Frankie Valli, Humperdinck, Sinatra, Streisand) and Christian Tamburr (Julio Iglesias, Clint Holmes.) Chances are you’ll know every word to every song and the magical feeling will live on long after Chris leaves the stage.

Approx Running Time: 75 Minutes
Genre: Classic Pop, Standards, Live Music, Storytelling

Please Note: the venue has a 2-beverage minimum per person.
